All of the traditional Asian egg roll’s components are included in this Egg Roll in a Bowl, however the egg roll’s wrapping and cooking are not required. Egg Roll Bowls are prepared in only 20 minutes and contain ground beef, vegetables, and a flavorful sauce.
1) Vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon
2) 1 minced garlic clove, along with 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger
3) 1 pound of ground pork
4) toasted sesame oil, 1 tablespoon
5) thinly sliced half an onion
6) 1 cup of grated carrot
7 ) thinly sliced 1/4 of a green cabbage
8) Low-sodium soy sauce, 1/4 cup
9) 1 tablespoon Sriracha
10 ) Halal salt
11) 1 finely sliced green onion and 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Step 1) Vegetable oil should be warmed up in a big skillet over medium heat. Cook the garlic and ginger for 1 minute, or until fragrant. Add the pork and simmer, turning periodically, for 8 to 10 minutes, breaking up the meat with a spoon or spatula until it is mostly browned and thoroughly cooked.
Step 2) Add sesame oil after pushing the pork to the side. Add the cabbage, carrot, and onion. Add the soy sauce and sriracha and stir to mix with the meat. Simmer for 5 to 8 minutes, or until the cabbage is soft. Salt is used to flavour.
Step 3) Place mixture in a serving bowl and top with sesame seeds and scallions.
While lacking the wrapper, this meal has the same same flavor as an egg roll. Crisps of spiced pork, stir-fried cabbage, and a sweet and sour sauce.
